A Happy Lunch

I like to encourage this;

I provide the ingredients and the girls make their own lunch.

Actually, I used this scenario for one of my Provision Plans at Tafe - that is, planning an age-appropriate activity based on a child's interests while considering their developmental ability and potential. For Tafe I suggested plastic knives, but really, children love to use proper utensils, cutlery and silverware, just like we do! It feels better and usually does the job better too...

With a little practice, the girls are great at buttering bread now and can whip up a sandwich to their own liking;

Liv chomped right down the middle of hers and made this happy face;

And this is how Elly chose to finish her lunch;

Everyone was happy.
