Headbands

I saw a fellow crafter selling gorgeous fabric headbands at the Eryldene Christmas Fair on the weekend and after marvelling at her choice of fabrics, I must admit, I did begin to think 'Maybe I could make some of these myself...'.

With Christmas fast approaching, I thought these would be the perfect stocking stuffers for our teenage nieces and also be a great way to use up some of my fabric scraps;

Today I made up a quick template during quiet time (although I don't know how quiet it was, with the whir of the sewing machine in the background!), as the girls tried to read their books.... ('In piece of quiet' as Liv would say. Hmm, wonder who else says that?).

I chose the fabrics rather quickly, as I just wanted to get started and try out my pattern. Liv was a very willing model for me, so I told her she could keep the apple one;

I definitely see a lot more of these being made in the coming days. And I think it is fair to say that if you are on my Christmas list and you are female, you will be getting at least one of these in your Christmas present this year!

It's reversible too. So two headbands in one. Love it!
