Santa's Workshop

Today Elly helped me set up a few props, so we could take some pics for our Christmas Card. We have already begun receiving cards and I hadn't even thought about what will be on the front of ours this year, until today.

Hmm... how to get both girls to cooperate?....

'Do you want to dress up like elves and help make toys in Santa's Workshop today?' I asked them both. It was a resounding 'Yay!!!!".

We raided Nick's tool-box for miniature spanners, wrenches, screwdrivers and the like, grabbed a whole bunch of toys and set up shop! They loved pretending they were making toys and we left the arrangement set up all day. In fact, Elly insisted we keep it all, as-is, overnight so she can play with it all again tomorrow.

I got the pics I wanted, including some funny ones, which I love the most. Not sure where last year's proof is, but here is the front of our card from 2008;

I believe that was the year I was so tired when ordering them, I used the European franchise website, instead of the Australian one and ended up paying the same for postage as I did for the cards. Woah. I won't make that mistake again!

Funny thing is, I feel about as tired now, as I did back then. I have been up with Livvie in the wee hours the last 3 nights and have spent so much time looking down at her, day and night, worrying about her breathing, her temperature, taking layers off, sponging her down, patting her back to sleep, that I can barely move my neck or turn my head today! And judging by her temp at bedtime tonight (39.8C) it looks like we will be spending another day at home (ie. in Santa's workshop) tomorrow...
