On the 31st December, Nick and I each bought some new running shoes to aid our New Years resolutions to get fit! However, the difference between Nick and I is that while he was out running 14 kilometres last night, I was at home making Mars Bar Slice. I then packaged it up, in a tin I bought from Spotlight...
... to give to my Sister-in-law, whose birthday was today.
Now, guess what type of Birthday Cake she had?
Mars Bar Slice Cake!How Ironic! At least I know she likes it.... And how could you not? Nick says it is the best thing I have ever made (which doesn't say much for my cooking! ie. chop up some Mars Bars, add Rice Bubbles, stir...)

Oh yum! The slice and the cake look amazing. Your comment about Nick saying the slice was one of the best things you've ever made made me laugh! Reminds me of something my daughter dictated to my husband for my Mothers' Day card last year - "I love your cooking - my favourite is your toast and sandwiches". :)
