Everleigh Artisan's Market

A while back, we went to the Everleigh Artisan's Market. It's held on the first Sunday of the month. There are plenty of lovely things to look at (and buy!), coffee carts and food stalls, and the best thing is that the market itself is undercover in the heritage Blacksmith's workshop at the Carriageworks in Redfern.

There was live music and the girls loved dancing with other kids to a guy rocking out on his guitar. And of course, there were lots of crafty, handmade goodies everywhere. I can't recall the artist who made this, but just look at this amazing creation;

A sewing machine made entirely out of felt!

I do like to squeeze in a trip to the markets on the weekend... It's so inspiring to see what others are making. After a few sewing flops recently (Don't ever ask me about Elly's 'Hot Air Balloon Dress' - I honestly don't know what I was thinking!), I think I will stick to making a couple of simple but satisfying skirts this week...
