It was definitely time to replace the rather boring and ugly magnets promoting local plumbing services and the 24 hour doctor and put something a bit more pretty on the fridge! Yes, it was bothering me that the girls create such marvellous art work, only to have an ugly magnet or two plonked on either side, when it goes on the fridge.
Elly brought home a masterpiece from Preschool this week, to which I excitedly exclaimed (out loud, unfortunately), 'Oh Wow! Look at that! A beautiful {voice trailing off}....snail?'
My only excuse is that I was tired and confused... because obviously it is an Ostrich;
She keeps saying 'Mummy , did you really think it was a Snail?'.
Truthfully, I didn't know what it was, I was just trying to make sense of her putting the antennae in the wrong place! How bizarre. Of course, I love it even more now!
(And no, I can't explain why I thought a snail would be covered in feathers, of all things!)
