Do-A-Dot

I found these great Do-A-Dot colours at RIOT Art & Craft today. They were $2 each and totally, completely mess-free. They didn't leak or drip and as soon as they hit the paper, the ink was dry!

The best part was discovering you don't just have to make dots, but you can drag them along and make lines. Elly loved them, holding one in each hand most of the time.

First she made spotty wrapping paper for a party this weekend and then portraits of our neighbours, which she posted in their letterboxes!

Definitely a great {mess-free} alternative to painting!

(These would make great stocking stuffers)

So cute!

Thanks for your comment today Margaret! The cowl would be a great pattern for a beginner looking to try knitting in the round on a circular needle and practicing your knit/purls and decreases/increases.

Let me know if you need any help and happy knitting! Or if you want a diff pattern recommendation :)

We have these and I love them for those days when I want to do something creative with the kids but can't handle the mess! You can get some great activity books that go with them, too.

I went and got a few of these after reading your blog post - what a success! Willow had a ball dotting, sqeezing, drawing and basically having fun with them this morning while I tended to the kitchen (said with trepidation!). I love Elly's flower pictures, I think I'll try that one next!

By the way, thanks for your beautiful comment about Willow's name :) It seems to divide people - I've had a lot of people say "Oh, that's interesting".. haha
