...including 3 yards of Sherbert Pips Fabric!
Sew Together is the inspiring blog of Caroline and Maryanne, two sisters in Sydney who run sewing classes and workshops so you can 'learn how to make gorgeous clothing and accessories for you and your children'.
I just love their blog, it is full of great ideas and projects, things they are currently working on (an amazing Dear Jane quilt) and finished pieces from the classes they teach. I like that the projects they choose are simple in design (great projects for beginners*) and of course, I also love the gorgeous fabric they choose!
My gorgeous prize arrived yesterday amid much excitement in our house. It was opened in such a hurry, I couldn't even get a photo of the goodies beautifully wrapped, with candy-cane striped twine. Along with the sherbert pips fabric (above), we received this beautiful handmade zippered pouch;
And all these pretty little hair accessories inside!
I love the hand-stitching and all the little details, so beautiful!
Needless to say, my girls and I are tickled pink...
Thank you so much, Maryanne and Caroline!
*I wish I had been able to do their five-week course when I was learning to sew 3 years ago. Instead, I fumbled along in a 10 week course at a community college, with a basic little girls dress to show for it at the end. At Sew Together, you leave each workshop or class with a completed project each week (eg. bunting, appliqued shorts, pillowcase dress) ~ how great is that?!?!
