Gifts for Preschool Friends

Today was Livvie's last day of Preschool. For some reason, I like to leave things to the last minute, so I was up until 11pm last night, finishing off the little gifts for her friends.

First up, I made up some little paper stockings for the Rudolph Necklaces;

The bottom half is baking paper, with some christmas card on top. I can't remember where I saw this idea, but I think it's a cute way to package up a little christmas gift. These were the gifts for her little girl friends.

As for the boys...

The children seem to get so many candy canes and chocolates at this time of the year, I wanted to make something for the boys instead. So I stitched up some little fabric Christmas ornaments. I had some fabric with festive cats left over from a couple of years ago. I added a felt circle and some ribbon which we wrote their names on;

Then, for the teachers, in addition to the fabric covered journals, I made up some quick little zippered pouches;

Which I lined with some cute fabric with apples all over it...

So all the little gifts were finished just on time. And I actually quite liked the sewing frenzy... sometimes it's good to have a deadline because then I actually get things done (instead of the usual procrastination!)

What lucky preschool friends. I bet they are glad to have you Margaret at the school with such thoughtful gifts.

They all look gorgeous.
I too like to avoid the chocolate/candy cane gift for school friends but it does take quite a lot of work doesn't it?
Well done!!!
