Oh Christmas Tree

Yesterday, Elly and I drove out to the Dural Christmas Tree Farm to choose our tree;

We wandered around...

and around...

...soaking up the sight of all these lovely trees and enjoying the beautiful pine scent. Unfortunately Santa and his {real!} reindeer only visit the tree farm on weekends, but what a magical place!

The tree we chose only just fit inside our car, but we managed to get it home...Then a quick call to my Dad, who helped us get it inside the house and into it's tree stand. Thanks Dad! In the afternoon, we unpacked some ornaments;

And laid them out on the table so when Livvie got home from Preschool, the girls could decorate the tree together;

It's our biggest tree yet and only just fits into this space beside the fireplace, but it's perfect.

The girls were quick to put a letter each to Santa, underneath the tree... I told them he collects letters from fireplaces and leaves behind some magic sparkle dust to let you know he has been (much easier than going to the post office at this time of year and adds a bit of magic at home too!)
