Today I finished sewing some gifts for Livvie to give to her Preschool Teachers for Christmas. They are just simple fabric-covered journals. I bought A5 notebooks and did simple strip piecing to make a lined slip cover, based on each Teacher's two favourite colours.
Jackie's is Orange & Blue;
Angela requested blue and blue;
And the one I was most worried about...
Danni likes pink/purple and leopard print. This required a special trip to Spotlight as I didn't have any leopard print in my stash. I was worried the colours wouldn't go together, but I think this journal is actually my favourite. It's funny when that happens!
They all look so different and the colours are pretty loud, but I hope they like our little handmade gift.

What lovely gifts! Haidee wanted to give her teachers reindeers that poop jelly beans....rather embarrassing but it did make them laugh :)
Very nice indeed. I like the the little button opening too. Did you sew a full cover for the inside or half? I am still working on mine...they are not turning out how I imagine them to look. oh well, you have inspired me once again to give it another go tonight.
