Today, Elly and I made a wall chart for the week ahead. She is constantly asking 'How many days until Ballet?' and 'Am I going to Preschool tomorrow?'. I have seen lots of these charts around, but loved the one at Carli's Clan....
So today we printed off some photos with text added, then headed to Officeworks to have them laminated...
We included places we have to go (School) and things Elly and I do at home (craft, bake, etc).
Then we added some velcro tape to the back of each picture...
And put the poster above her little desk;
I'm going to make a little drawstring bag to hold the extra cards, of the things that don't happen every week but which are very exciting and eagerly anticipated;
The list is endless, with family birthdays and special occasions... like the countdown to Mothers Day that has already begun. I don't know who is more excited, them or me. Only 6 more days to go!

Oh I love that! The "when is such and such happening", "how many sleeps until...", thing can be so hard at this age. What a super idea.
You sound like you should treat yourself to a laminator. I am a confessed laminator geek, I couldn't live without mine! :)
What a great idea! I love it. I'm thinking that I could use one for myself :-)
