My older brother and his wife just found out they are expecting a baby girl! She is due to arrive two weeks after our baby, so we are all very excited about our bubs growing up together. We invited them over to lunch on Sunday, to celebrate the exciting news and of course, I wanted to make a little something for their baby girl.
Just last week I purchased a whole bunch of face washers in two colours - white and blue. I have no idea why I bought so many, but lucky I did! I found another great use for the white ones - they make the perfect backing for baby bibs! I gathered my supplies, including fabric and matching thread...
And after using one of my own girls' baby bibs as a template (it fit perfectly inside the perimeter of the face washer!)... had soon made a little set of very pretty and very absorbant baby bibs;
The only thing I couldn't find in my stash were the snaps, but a quick trip to the shops remedied that;
I made sure I bought lots of snaps, because I have a feeling I will be making many more of these bibs... They're so simple and colourful and I know they will come in very handy!

Oh how exciting to have the two cousins growing up together, so close in age :). I love the bibs - such a simple design and lovely fabrics. Sewing for babies has to be one of the most delightful and satisfying things!
Congratulations about becoming an Aunty (again!)
I love the bibs!

Thanks again Margaret for having us over for a wonderful lunch and catch up. It is going to be great having our little ones the same age and watching them grow up together :)
Thank you also for the gift, the bibs are truly gorgeous and I love telling and showing people that you made them. We love them!! Donna xx
Very cute little bibs. Lovely bright colors. Thanks for the lovely comments on my blog. Glad you like my cards. I'm just new to blogging still finding my way around, but enjoying it. Sandy :)
