Skirts

I had a burst of motivation on the sewing front... kick-started by the 40% off sale at Spotlight last week. There's nothing quite like new fabric to make me want to plug in the sewing machine. The girls chose their own fabric  - blue for Livvie, green for Elly;

 I also made a little skirt for a friend from school;

I was told she wouldn't take it off all weekend and even wore it to bed! Definitely the type of feedback to keep me motivated with sewing.

I am hoping more inspiration will come tomorrow, when I visit the Sydney Craft and Quilt Fair. Elly usually comes with me, but tomorrow she will be at Preschool. That means two hands free... I'll be able to see (and bring home) so much more!

I hope you find some fabulous items and ideas at the fair. Glad to see you are feeling in the sewing mood again, they are lovely skirts (send some of that sewing inspiration to me please, it is so chilly at night I can't get warm enough to go and sit by the machine!)

Hi,
Those skirts turned out very cute! I love the little pocket on the red skirt. Congratulations on the little baby you are soon to have, that was wonderful news when I read your blog!!!
