Kids Say the Darndest Things

This morning I woke up feeling pretty poorly - sore throat, cough, headache. Unfortunately there is no such thing as a 'sick day' for me, so I had a shower, got dressed and put on my make-up (that alone always makes me feel a bit better). I also put on some perfume and asked the girls if they would like some? (Thinking too, if they miss me when they are at school today, they might get some comfort from my scent).

'Yes please!' they exclaimed and held out their little wrists for a spritz.

I sprayed some perfume on each of them and then asked the girls, 'What do you think of, when you smell this?'

'Hmmm'  said Elly, thinking hard. 

Then she took another sniff.... 

'I think of Reindeer!'

Of course after that response, I was in stitches! 

Reindeer?!?!! 

Don't you just love the honesty of children? If not their honesty (I hope she doesn't honestly think I smell like Reindeer)... then their random, funny observations and comments throughout the day.
